Mogadishu – March 1, 2026 The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned what it described as Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, calling the incident a serious violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.
In an official press statement issued by Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the government expressed full solidarity with the UAE. It affirmed its support for the country’s legitimate right to defend itself in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.
The statement emphasised that the attacks pose a direct threat to peace and stability in the region, urging all parties to exercise restraint and prioritise dialogue and diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation.
Somalia also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining regional security and stability, stressing the importance of peaceful engagement and cooperation to avoid widening conflict in the Middle East.
